Why implementation can happen so quickly
UP2D8 is a cloud-based platform. There is no on-premises installation, no server configuration, and no integration with existing IT systems required. Employees download the app on their personal smartphone or open the web version in their browser, that is it. This makes a fast and smooth rollout possible for organisations of any size.
No IT department required. No lengthy implementation projects. UP2D8 is typically operational for the full organisation within 7 working days.
The 7-day implementation plan
Day 1: Kick-off and platform configuration
After signing the contract, the UP2D8 onboarding team begins initial configuration. The platform settings are aligned with your organisational structure: departments, locations, shifts, and user groups. You receive access to the admin dashboard.
Day 2: White-label branding
The app is personalised to your organisation: your logo, your primary colour, and (optionally) your own app name. Employees see an app that looks like your company built it. This strengthens their sense of connection to the organisation and drives adoption from the very first launch.
Day 3: Employee import
Employees are added to the platform via a simple CSV import or manual entry. For each employee, only a name and phone number are required, no company email needed. The system automatically generates secure sign-in codes that you can distribute via SMS, a printed invitation, or a brief team briefing.
Days 4 & 5: Pilot phase
For larger organisations, we recommend a pilot with a selected group of 10 to 20 employees and their line managers. This provides the opportunity to test communication flows, familiarise managers with the admin dashboard, and address any questions before the full rollout. UP2D8 actively guides this phase.
Day 6: Go-live for the full organisation
The entire employee base gains access to the app. Invitations are sent via SMS or another channel of your choice. UP2D8 provides ready-to-use communication templates for introducing the platform to employees, in all available languages.
Day 7: First announcement and manager training
The first official announcement is sent from leadership. Line managers receive a short training session (30 minutes) covering how to send messages, view read statistics, and create surveys. From this point, the platform runs independently, with UP2D8 support available in the background.
What happens after go-live?
Launch day is the beginning, not the finish line. UP2D8 supports organisations during the first three months after go-live with:
- Monthly check-ins to evaluate adoption and usage
- Content guidance: which types of messages work best for your context?
- Support for rolling out to new locations or departments
- Helpdesk access for administrators and employees
What do you need to get started?
The requirements are minimal:
- A list of employees with name and phone number (CSV or Excel)
- Your company logo in high resolution
- An internal contact person (HR or communications lead) who will send the first messages
- A decision about the initial communication structure (by department, location, or shift)
That is all. No IT budget, no existing infrastructure, no technical expertise required. UP2D8 is built for organisations where the priority is the workforce, not the IT department. See how it works for manufacturing, cleaning & facility, and events.
