Welcome to UP2D8. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the platform. By registering, logging in, or clicking 'I agree', you declare that you accept these terms and agree to be bound by the provisions contained herein.

1. Who is UP2D8?

UP2D8 is a service offered by Rovata BV, company number BE 1024.711.166, registered at Aartrijkestraat 152, 8820 Torhout, Belgium.

2. Applicability

These terms apply to natural persons (consumers) who register or otherwise use the UP2D8 platform via the website, (mobile) app or other channels. Deviating terms only apply if agreed in writing.

3. Key definitions

  • Platform / UP2D8: the online service, website and (mobile) apps managed by Rovata BV.
  • User: any natural person who registers on or uses the platform.
  • Organisation: an organisation or company present on UP2D8 that you can follow.
  • Personal data: all information about an identified or identifiable natural person.

4. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms and all policies referenced herein (e.g. our Privacy Policy). If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

5. Registration and account

  • You must provide accurate, complete and current information upon registration and keep this information up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Unauthorised use of your account must be reported immediately to info@up2d8.eu.
  • Your account is personal; you may not transfer your account to others without prior written consent from UP2D8.

6. Minimum age

You may only create an account if you have reached the legal age to consent to the processing of personal data in your country. If you are younger, you may only use an account with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

7. Use of the platform, code of conduct

You agree to use the platform in a lawful, fair and correct manner. You may not, among other things:

  • Post unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory or obscene material.
  • Engage in activities that facilitate fraud, abuse or harm to others.
  • Attack the platform, attempt to circumvent security measures or spread malware.
  • Use another person's account without permission.

UP2D8 reserves the right to remove content, suspend or terminate accounts in the event of a breach of these rules.

8. Content you post (user-generated content)

  • You retain ownership of the content you post on the platform, to the extent you are entitled to do so.
  • You guarantee that you own the rights or have permission to use the content and indemnify UP2D8 against third-party claims arising from your content.

9. Privacy and processing of personal data

Our Privacy Policy describes what personal data we collect, why we use it, how long we retain it and what rights you have. Key points:

  • Personal data is collected when you register, complete your profile or interact with organisations on the platform.
  • Your data is not shared publicly unless you explicitly consent to this.
  • You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your data, as well as other rights as provided by law. For requests: gdpr@up2d8.eu.

10. Availability and maintenance

  • We make reasonable efforts to keep the platform available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation.
  • UP2D8 may carry out planned and unplanned maintenance.

11. Liability and indemnification

  • UP2D8 is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage or loss of profit arising from your use of the platform, to the extent permitted by law.
  • For direct damage caused by intent or gross negligence by UP2D8, the statutory rules remain applicable.
  • You agree to indemnify UP2D8 from third-party claims arising from your use of the platform or caused by your content.

12. Termination and suspension

  • UP2D8 may suspend or terminate your account in the event of a breach of these terms or other misuse.
  • You can delete your account yourself via account settings. After termination, we may delete or anonymise personal data in accordance with our privacy and retention policy.

13. Changes to the terms

  • We may amend these terms. For material changes we will communicate clearly (e.g. email or in-app notification) and, where required, ask for your explicit consent in advance.
  • If you do not agree with a change, you may stop using the platform.

14. Force majeure

UP2D8 is not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, power outages, internet disruptions, strikes, cyber attacks or significant decisions by third parties.

15. Applicable law and disputes

  • These terms are governed by Belgian law.
  • For consumers residing in Belgium, the Belgian courts have jurisdiction, taking into account mandatory consumer protection.
  • If you are a consumer in another country, your statutory rights as provided in your country remain unaffected.

17. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force. We will replace the invalid provision with a valid provision that approximates the commercial intent as closely as possible. The fact that UP2D8 does not exercise a right or remedy does not mean that UP2D8 waives that right.

About UP2D8: UP2D8 is developed by Rovata BV in Torhout, Belgium. We help organisations in manufacturing, construction, cleaning, government and events to reach every employee — including those without a company email or fixed workplace. The platform is GDPR-compliant, fully hosted in the EU, and available in 11 languages.
